La canzone originaria è il secondo singolo estratto dall’album degli Aerosmith “Toys in the attic” del 1975.  Questa versione fu riproposta nel 1986 dagli stessi Aerosmith con la collaborazione del gruppo rap dei Run DMC  e pose le basi per il genere ibrido rap metal, che venne a svilupparsi proprio qualche tempo dopo e che esplose negli anni ’90

The original song is the second single from the Aerosmith’s album “Toys in the Attic” in 1975. This version was reproposed in 1986 by the same Aerosmith in collaboration with the rap group Run DMC and laid the foundations for the hybrid genre rap metal, which grew some time later and had great success in the 90s

La canzone originale fu registrata da Bruce Springsteen durante le sessioni del suo album “Darkness on the Edge of Town” ma egli la passò alla collega, che stava registrando “Easter” nello studio accanto al suo: il brano fu il primo singolo estratto dall’album della cantautrice. Springsteen ha spesso eseguito la canzone durante i concerti, ma ne ha pubblicato l’incisione originale solo nel 2010 nell’album “The Promise”. Il pezzo inizia dopo circa un minuto a causa della presentazione dei due autori da parte di Bono
