In seguito il brano è tornato nella Top 20 del Regno Unito nel 1991, raggiungendo il picco al numero 13, quattordici anni dopo la morte di Bolan, quando è stato utilizzato in uno spot diretto da Chris Hartwill per Levi’s con protagonista Brad Pitt.
Questo duetto è stato realizzato ai BRIT AWARDS nel 1999. I Placebo avevano già pubblicato una cover di questa canzone che era stata inserita nella colonna sonora del film “Velvet Goldmine”

Chris Cornell made an special guest appearance as part of Yusuf’s (formerly known as Cat Stevens) sold out show at Hollywood Pantages Theatre in October last year. The duo launched into a delicate take of the 1970 Cat Stevens classic Wild World. Cornell passed away few days ago at the age of 52 in Detroit, in the middle of a sold out North American tour with Soundgarden.

Ora il giovane cantautore inglese risponde con un’intensa versione di un brano non molto noto del repertorio del grande cantautore americano intitolato “Nobody ‘Cept You” che Dylan compose nel 1973 durante le session per l’album “Planet Waves”. Il brano fu però pubblicato ufficialmente solo nel 1991 all’interno della raccolta “The Bootleg Series, Vol 1-3: Rare & Unreleased 1961-1991”.
Davvero splendida la versione realizzata dal giovane Jack, che a 32 anni sta ottenendo finalmente la giusta attenzione dal pubblico. Oltre alla ruvida voce del cantante colpisce in questo video anche il delicato arrangiamento d’archi realizzato dal The Cosmopolitan Quartet.
Jack Savoretti – nato a Londra da padre genovese e madre tedesco-polacca – ha finora pubblicato quattro album ottimamente accolti dalla critica e due anni fa ha tenuto il suo primo tour in Italia.
