Chris Cornell ha partecipato ad un duetto come ospite durante lo show da tutto esaurito di Yusuf (conosciuto in precedenza come Cat Stevens) all’ Pantages Theatre di Hollywood ad ottobre dello scorso anno. I due si sono cimentati in una delicata versione del classico di Cat Stevens “Wild World” del 1970. Cornell è deceduto pochi giorni fa all’età di 52 anni a Detroit, nel mezzo del tour nordamericano con i Soundgarden

Chris Cornell made an special guest appearance as part of Yusuf’s (formerly known as Cat Stevens) sold out show at Hollywood Pantages Theatre in October last year. The duo launched into a delicate take of the 1970 Cat Stevens classic Wild World. Cornell passed away few days ago at the age of 52 in Detroit, in the middle of a sold out North American tour with Soundgarden.

“Thank you” è stata originariamente incisa come quarta canzone dell’album “Led Zeppelin II” nel 1969. Chris Cornell (all’anagrafe Christopher John Boyle: 20 luglio 1964) è un musicista rock americano conosciuto come cantante e chitarrista ritmico dei Soundgarden e cantante degli Audioslave. E’ stato l’autore di “You Know My Name”, tema principale del film di James Bond “Casino Royale” (2006). Cornell ha inciso a novembre 2011 il suo primo album dal vivo intitolato “Songbook” nel quale è contenuto questo brano

Chris Cornell (born Christopher John Boyle; July 20, 1964) is an American rock musician best known as the lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist for Soundgarden and as the former lead vocalist for Audioslave. He performed the theme song to the James Bond  film “Casino Royale” (2006), “You Know my name”. Cornell also released in November 2011 his first live solo album titled “Songbook” in November 2011 that contains this song

Incubus – Black hole sun (Soundgarden)

Black hole sun è il brano più noto dei Soundgarden, gruppo di Seattle. Rimase per ben 7 settimane in cima alla “Billboard Mainstream Rock Tracks”. Fa parte del quarto album della band,”Superunknown”, uscito nel 1994
