Nel 2002 Ray Manzarek e Robby Krieger formano un nuovo gruppo chiamato “The Doors of the 21st Century”. La formazione prevedeva come cantante Ian Astbury, con Angelo Barbera al basso e Stewart Copeland dei Police alla batteria, che in seguito verrà rimpiazzato da Ty Dennis, mentre Densmore si chiama fuori dal progetto. Il gruppo partecipa ad una nuova serie di concerti e registra e pubblica nel 2003 il DVD “The Doors of the 21st Century: L.A.Woman Live” da cui è tratto questo video. Il pezzo inizia dopo una quarantina di secondi.

Ian Astbury, leader dei Cult, era stato pre-selezionato come possibile interprete della parte di Jim Morrison nel celebre film di Oliver Stone. Gli fu però preferito Val Kilmer
Questa cover è il B-Side di “A Bad Dream”, singolo datato gennaio 2007 e tratto dall’ album “Under the Iron Sea”.

Reinterpretazione da parte dei Cult della canzone più popolare dei canadesi Steppenwolf. La canzone fu originariamente pubblicata nel 1968, ma in seguito venne inclusa in numerose compilation e colonne sonore. Il primo film ad utilizzarla nel proprio commento musicale fu “Easy Rider” nel 1969
