Ella Marija Lani Yelich – O’Connor (nata il 7 novembre 1996), conosciuta con il nome d’arte di Lorde, è una cantautrice neozelandese. Nel 2013 ha inciso l’album di debutto in studio, “Pure Heroine”. Il disco raggiunse la vetta della classifica in Australia e Nuova Zelanda e la posizione N.3 negli Stati Uniti. Questa versione del singolo dei Tears for Fears, prodotto da Michael A.Levine e Lucas Cantor, ha fatto parte della colonna sonora del film “Hunger Games: La ragazza di fuoco”

The record peaked atop the charts of Australia and New Zealand and charted at number three on the US Billboard 200. This cover version of the Tears for Fears’ single,  produced by Michael A. Levine and Lucas Cantor, was included on “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire” film soundtrack.

“Love is blindness” è un brano degli U2. E’ la dodicesima ed ultima traccia dell’album del 1991 “Achtung Baby”. La canzone fu scritta al piano dal cantante Bono durante le session per la registrazione dell’album del 1988  “Rattle and Hum”. Concepita inizialmente per la cantante Nina Simone, fu scelta dalla band per Acthung Baby dopo averla suonata insieme. Questa cover è contenuta nell’album-tributo del 2011 “AHK-toong BAY-bi Covered”, ed appartiene anche alla colonna sonora del film “Il grande Gatsby” di Baz Luhrmann

“Love is blindness” is a song by U2 . It is the twelfth and final track on their 1991 album “Achtung Baby”. The song was written on a piano by lead singer Bono during the recording sessions for U2’s 1988 album “Rattle and Hum”. Intended for singer Nina Simone, the band elected to keep it for Acthung Baby after playing it together.  This cover by Jack White appears on the 2011 tribute album “AHK-toong BAY-bi Covered”, and is also featured on the album “The Great Gatsby: Music from Baz Luhrmann’s Film”

My body is a cage è l’ultimo brano di “Neon Bible”, il secondo album della rock band canadese Arcade Fire, uscito nel marzo del 2007. Questa canzone è stata utilizzata in uno spot TV per il film del 2008 “Il curioso caso di Benjamin Button”. Questa cover appartiene a “Scratch My Back”, l’ottavo album in studio del musicista inglese Peter Gabriel. E’ uscito a febbraio del 2010. “Perhaps, Perhaps, Perhaps” (conosciuta anche come  “Quizás, Quizás, Quizás” in lingua spagnola) è una canzone popolare del cantautore cubano Osvaldo Farrés. Farrés scrisse la musica e il testo originale in spagnolo per il brano che divenne un successo nel 1947. Il testo in inglese è stato scritto da Joe Davis e non è la traduzione di quello spagnolo. Questa versione dei Cake compare nel film “Dream for an insomniac” del 1996

Il fatto che gli Iron Maiden siano apprezzati da un pubblico che va ben oltre i fan dell’Heavy Metal è dovuto alla loro abilità ma anche alla bellezza delle melodie. Questo video ne è la dimostrazione, come pure la cover di Wasted Years su questo sito effettuata da un altro artista in versione acustica. Il belga Thomas Zwijsen l’anno scorso creò un album con 11 sue cover di canzoni degli Iron Maiden, chiamato Nylon Maiden
